Every time I visit Janelle at MIL place, I will make sure I dun miss any important messages that the school wanted to tell the parents. The teacher will pass the child sheets of information. The info of what activities, items to bring, amount to pay and big events I need to take note. As usual, Janelle will show us letters from school the 1st thing I stepped into MIL place. As she handed me this programme sheet, I was puzzled cos I have no idea what does this word ORATOR mean, (problem of not reading much when young)I continued the letter and somehow guessed what the programme is all about. I have no being seeing my two BaoBei for 3 days due to work and some minor painting at home. I missed them terribly, especially bubbly Julian. Miss his sleeping face and Janelle snoring humming. Work and work, stupid meeting, presentation slides. It is so easy for bosses to tell me to GO PREPARE THE SLIDES. CNY is coming and I have not yet complete my spring cleaning, color n cut my hair. Bear in mind I am the wife, mother and maid in the family. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

While trying my very best to coach Julian, I always hit a point of fustration with his progress. He has problem recognising words be it in Chinese or English. This really worry me to the max as by then Janelle had no problem reading, doing her Math n Chinese. I shouldnt compare right but I couldnt help it when Julian is no too far away from P1. He only has 2 years to catch up and there are so much to do. I checked with Molin's teacher after the lesson, I am expecting some comments for parents to work harder to help my boy but to my surprised his Chinese teacher said he was progressing well. But but but he wasnt at all back home, how come I get a totally different story. Is the teacher too kind to make harsh comment on Julian?

Reached MIL place at 8pm and MIL said Janelle had something to tell me. Janelle ran quickly to me and speaking in whisper that she had 2 mistakes for her spelling. Impossible was the 1st impression sending out from my brain signal. I went thru the spelling with her and she could did it very well. Those are not difficult words to get mistakes. She showed me her result and I was puzzled for the 1st moment. She got all the spelling right but why only 8/10? I looked more carefully and realised the spelling was not just words and write. The kids are suppose to fill the blanks of sentenses that are part of the spelling words. I understood why she only got 8 marks. There were two words which were supposed to be the starting word of the sentenses. The words have to start with a Upper case but Janelle wrote lower case. I explained to her that these are the grammer she must take note, P1 teacher will not be as lenient as K2 teacher anymore. Slight mistake will cause her marks, I hope she will be...

This is my 1st time going concert with Law and Rock Music 30 is really a worth it concert to attend. A few artists turn up and there are lots of surprises during the show. Most amazing part was that the concert ended just before mid night. A straight 4 hours of performance without any break. Really happy to see the older artists like WaWa who singing Da Yu. Su Hui Lun that turn up for the concert. Wu Bai performance had made the audience super high. We are so fortunate to get the seat upgrade from $98 seat to $118 seat which is slightly nearer to the stages. Let's gear for their coming 40s

I was home early after my course, was intended to visit Chinatown for some CNY shopping but it was raining after my class ended. Thus, I called Law and told him I will head home to start making CNY cookies. Butter - I never want to sting on ingredient, anyway all my cookies will be given to my love one. So why treat other that badly. When to NTUC to get 3 block of good butter for cookies. I have some left over butter that I got previously from Phoot Huat, SCS butter from my sister and Golden Churn that I got few days ago. While mixing the butter, I realised different butter have different texture. Golden Churn is more creamy compare to others. I brot my office notebook back from office, setting it up on the dining table as I have some work to complete. Julian came to my side and we have a cute convensation. Julian has started his 1st lesson at BC - Tampines. I have prepared him but I believe there was such to have some hiccups on the 1st day. I brot him to his class, Janelle followed along. A lady teacher was taking the K1 class, I didnt seen her before, guessed she was from another branch. Julian was ok at 1st but other kids around him started to get cranky and weepy. There was a boy with strong rejection of going into the class and making a big dim along the corridoor. At this moment, I could sense that Julian anxiety kicked in. He requested me to stay with him, I asked him to play the number card while I checked out Janelle classroom and assured him that I will be back for him again. When I checked back on him again, he was weeping. Just as I expected, he still need sometime to blend into new class and with other crying and pledging their parents to not leave the room it make matter worse. MIL called me at 3pm while I was in the mid of a meeting at user's place. She asked if I knew Janelle was appointed as the monitress yesterday. Yes, Law did tell me about this good new when I am back home last night.(I worked late and didnt visit the kids at IL place) It was too late and I didnt call back to ask her more. She was very puzzled and disappointed that I didnt not praise or ask her more about her new role. She questioned MIL why I reacted this way. MIL related the incident and told me she sound very sad upon my no respond. I was shocked! The fact was althot I called back and checked on the kids before that, I did not hear her mentioning anything on the new role. We were chatting on her day in school, the food she got during recess and if there was any homework or note that the teacher wanted her to tell me. Like many have told me, the kid will exercise their power of "financial freedom" the moment they have their own pocket $$ and no eye supervision on their purchases. True? False? Kids spending pattern are modelled from parents said the psychologist who came to the school and gave parents a talk on the 1st day of school. How can I not agree with him? Take a step back, look back further, ask yourself. Is that how u spend ur money and the way you buy presents and food for your own kids? They simply follow how parents managed our $$. OK let get started with the baking before I lost track of my time. My 1st attempt was the pineapple tarts. I got the recipe from Eelin which she attended the lesson at Phoot Huat 2 years ago. After checking with her on the method I have some rough idea of the procedures. Today I ask Law to drive me to Sim drive Phoot huat Warehouse to purchase my ingredient. I got a pack of plain flour, 2 packs of pineapple filling, corn syrup, almound bits, cocoa drops, ground peanut, chopped peanuts, some flavourings, candy themometer. Beside pineapple tarts, i wanted to get my hand on some candy drops making and peanut cookies that my sister and mum like. 1st attempt on the crust, my mixture turn out very dry and couldnt form a dough. Only later that I realised my butter was weighed wrongly but I have no idea why was that so. I rbr clearly I weighed 100g for my butter. So i dumped the crust away and redo it once again. 4th Jan 2011 - a new school year for both Janelle and Julian but it is quite different for Janelle cos she has promoted to Primary education this year. The school allowed parents to visit the kid on the 1st 2 days so Law and I took leave to prepare Janelle for the school. There was some miscommunication between us and MIL. Do not know how Law told her mum that Janelle do not require lunch before class. He was a more logical person than me and yet he cant figure out that Janelle need an early lunch before she board the school bus which came fetching her at 11am. I was so angry and pissed off that I laterally screaming at him in the morning for creating an unecessary jitter on the 1st day of school. Got my new tripod, just in time to stable my camera for a proper passport shoot for the kids. Law help me to set up the tripod and the kids are my model.
