Deco for the CNY I love the china paper cutting art, couldnt decide if I should get and the kids gave me idea where to paste it. This were some deco that I did much early, all the wall decal are from Taobao.

CNY has over but the kids red packets were still intact, so it was time to visit the bank. I got the kids to open up their red packets so I can prepare to bank them in. Julian will took out his money while Janelle will help to put them nicely in correct notes back into a money bag that I passed them. I told Julian to check the red packet carefully and not to throw away any $$ away. Well, I must said he did a great job! Janelle was very happy to found 2 $2 old notes. I told her I will not bank in these notes, she could keep them in her "Safe box". Keeping old notes were another way for saving too. Well, the kids red packet amount were surprising. Comparing to my time, so super envy and jealous. Kids now are so fortunate!

Planning my day to bring the kids to my Coy 10th year anniversary Carnival. i told the kids we need to rush back after the lesson to leave the bag at home and head down to marina floating platform but the kids were too hungry after the lesson and I followed their normal routine to have their mushroom omelette brunch before heading home. Tropical tests for Janelle was tested without parents knowledge of it. Although no % was taken for term one but it has more of less help parents to understand the test structures for each subjects. There Janelle took back her Maths paper, she has one mistake. Not that she did not know how to do but very much on her carelessness. I am not trying to be a Tiger mum but it is something that is very ME to be very unhappy about this mistake, thus she got a minor stern scolding from me. Beside that, the teacher got her to do some correction, not only correction of what she got wrong but also some qns that she got it right. I was very puzzled and asked Janelle about it. She told me for number bonding, she was required to show working on how she got this answer so I told her why didnt she did it and now she has to do correction. I have told Law that it was abt time for us to give our home a new paint. Although like the current biege color wall which give a very elegant and spacious hall but it turn out to be a bit plain and pple like me who like can no longer tahan this color for 8 yrs. 3 or us Ms Bad & Ms Worry will start discussing abt our kids during "get to gether" (lunch, tea break) session. Then we are bringing up Han Yu Ping Ying issue again. Ms Bad was telling that "q" cannot write with a "Tail" unlike the English "q". I never realised that at all so during the "Meet-The-Parents" session conducted on last Friday, I quickly take the chance to ask the Chinese teacher. However to my dismay, she just told me that she followed the MOE writing of "q" without a tail and there was no specify reason for doing so. How unconvincing answer for a technical personnel like me? Although I do understand that there are cases of non-explanatory phenomenon but that should not be the case for language.

This is the 1st bottle of Probiotic that I got myself after hearing Ethel explanation of the benefits of it. She doesnt have any brand in mind so I run a search in web keying "Best Probiotic". This was a good Sunday for the family, as I saw some improvement in family bonding and responsiblity taking. After morning lesson, the kids were free for the day as Janelle's teacher was sick and could come for lesson. We had pizza lunch where the kids just wrap as base and prepared their own pizza for baking. Law wasnt feeling well, so I bought some fish from market to make fish soup for his lunch. It turned out that my ready made stock came in useful as I dun have to spend time brewing the soup. The fish soup turned out well, Law and I enjoyed it very much. Julian had 2nd helping of his lunch after his pizza. We got the kids to sleep while we had a short nap, Law need to rest well for a night migration that started at 7pm. I overslept and rushed to prepare dinner, Law volunteered to bring the kids downstair for playground while I rushed out dinner for the family. There was a letter inviting parents to attend a Meet-The-Parents session on 18 Feb. As a involving parents like me, there is no way I would want to miss the session. The session was supposed to start at 6:45pm but I was late as I was rushing my annual appraisal in the office and only managed to reach the school at 7:15pm - which meant 30min late. I guessed I only missed the introduction by Janelle's form teacher Mrs Sung. She was flashing some slides when I entered her classroom. In the brief, parents were told that the Pink file for English worksheets and Blue for Maths. There was this AMA test conducted for Maths where the teachers will note down the kids progress which presume that is part of the 4 tropical test assessment to be but there is no mark taken for 1st term but kids got to have a taste of it 1st. While shopping at NEX we came across this home and deco shop call King & King Wong. I like the stall name cos it is name KING and with our surname WONG. Sound like a shop for our family.. kekeke.. Ok the kids decided not to walk off empty handed and they saw this cute little chopstick for kids. Not something that was unreasonable price so we got one for each kid, daddy intended to get more stuffs but I stopped him. The Hooray pose make a very encouraging and joyful picture and I used it for my Facebook profile picture now.

I realised it is not easy to be parents, it is harder to be children. Basically, Being a HUMAN is a tough ASSIGNMENT. I pity my children, I may not be able to give them a kampound childhood. Why? Cannot believe the amount of homeworks kids have now. Janelle has homework from BC, HYPY ting xie from Molin, practises for her grade test, spelling and ting xie from school. It is just a small part of it, dun know how are my children going to cope when they move up to upper level. May be the kids will get use to it or they will try to run away from it. While tidy up Janelle's Molin files, I found 4 sheets of HYPY words which are meant for weekly ting xie. I didnt hear anything from Janelle, then i search her ting xie book to check her progress. Surprisingly, she scored 100 for her weekly HYPY ting xie. As a mother, I better make sure I revised her often so she will remembered them well.

I never know I like books so much and have being getting quite a few books here and there. Of course, not all the books are good. When I was lucky, I do manage to pick some good books. However, I find recipe books are very irresistible for me, these books always seem to be talking to me when I enter the bookshop. The mouth washing cover page always make me go near and flip them and when I saw some interesting recipe or some dishes I think i wanted to try. That was when my bank account started going "ding ding ding" - the sound of spending. During the CNY, I got myself 3 recipe books, and on the Valentine's Day I got myself another interesting books on WATER. As for my Valentine's Day pressie, I will blog about it later as it is still MAKE in Progress and can only be collected 2 -3 weeks later. The book on water, I am yet to start reading it.
