A very nice colleague who came knocking at my door and passed me some nougats that she discovered and shared with me. She told me the nougat was handmade from taiwan and Singaporean brought it in, repackage it and started selling in Singapore. I went to the website http://www.3bitesfull.com.sg to find out more about their products. They have 6 flavours http://www.3bitesfull.com.sg/ I got to taste the Chocolate and the cranberry. Yes, the nougat is nice, chewy but not sticky. It doesnt have a very strong milk taste. Quite a good nougat but a pack of $6.50 for 10. Expansive! But something good stuffs really comes in silver package. Thanks my dear colleagues for remembering me when she has a new discovery in good food. Of course, the ultimate motive was to encourage me to try out making my own nougat and if I succeed, I could teach her. Clever lady knowing how to make use of my weak point. hahahhaa..

While everyone is going after Korean Drama, I switched my path to British and Amercian series. Cant call them drama cos the plot is not the drama mama type. NOW I am after "The White Queen" and "Once Upon a Time", a twisted fairy tales which I think is also suitable for kids like Janelle who is mature enough to enjoy the plots.

Chance upon this product and decided to get a mini piece to try out. It wasnt cheap for such a small piece of soap but was highly recommended by the taiwanese celebrities makeup artist. I read the review and it was given a 5 stars for this soap. My intention was to get a cleanser to solve Janelle facial problem. She has reached her puberty and pimples showing up on her face. I tried many products and none of them work on her or she doesnt want to use them either it smell horrible or the after cleanse feel wasnt too good and her face will shine after a while. So getting this soap is also a trial n hope to hit a jackpot and will show so effect on her. While getting her one, I got myself the original "flavour" to try too. Lets do a simple test to see if thookoobio oil really works. I have a scar made by fishing hook when I went for prawn fishing. It was an inch scar that i only noticed after the event. So i used it to test out the effectiveness of bio oil. I always get ocassional cooking burns here n there and it will develop a scar after that. This burn has a deeper colour which is very obvious. I am also using it to test out the bio oil. 

My sister Mary had being playing around with this editing App on her android phone and claimed it will make us look prettier.   She will take portrait photos of us then she will start editing the photo that looks 10 year younger. Sorry I cant post my original photos here cos it definitely going to faint my readers.   Quite a good job right. Even my mummy looks great.       

 I cooked a new soup for dinner - bitter gourd chicken soup. Infact, it is not bitter and the kids love the soup very much. A cooling soup that came just in time as Janelle was developing a fever after her class in the morning.   Xian is generous today and she treats us with curry fish head and crab bee hoon. I didn't buy much and didn't expect my mum and Mary and Xian will be staying over for dinner. We have being seeing each other for 3 weeks since Jovan has joined TAS tuition at Singpost.   Xian will bring Neely over while BIL will wait for Jovan till he knocked off from school. This week, Mary doesn't want to miss the fun since mum is coming over so she rushed over from Hougang.   Love the big gathering and baby Neely is very familiar with Yee Ma since we get to meet each other every week.  

 Sorry no end product pictures cos it look horrible. I forgotten about the time and overcooked the mooncake and it expanded like a little pig. may be I should make little pig instead.   Ok back to mooncakes, I asked my mum and sister to taste the paste and they told me the sweetness is ok so we started making the mooncake. I like the recipe of the mooncake crust so I am going to keep that recipe for now.   I got the mould last year but I didn't make any cos not in the mood to do any last year. This year, cooking is a way to relax myself and dive myself into something I really like although I tired myself too much over the weekend.    

 I know it is not easy to make the mooncake paste but I didn't know it is so hard!!!! Now I remember the Phoot Huat chef even said about the paste. "Just go and buy, it is not worth the effort to make it yourself." I cannot agree more on his comments but if the paste is a success then it worth more than a million words. Why do I say it is very labour intensive to prepare the paste? (the fact is I am the only labour around doing it) 1st you need to soak the red bean over - this is a easy step. Then you can put it in your rice cooker which did a better job then boiling over the stove cos the heat is very well distributed using the rice cooker. If you have a power pressure cooker will save you a lot of time. Ask me how much red bean I cooked. Ask me ask me....   I begin with 1.2kg of red bean. My handheld mixer went dead after I tried mixer a dough using it. Haizzz... That mean I couldnt execute many recipes unless I wanted to try whisking using my ballon hand whisk which I cannot imagine doing that. So hubby asked if I wanted to get another bag for my coming bday. I think I have a better present in mind. *wink*

Look at the contents of this month. It was so much better comparing to last and I realised they like to give hand cream sample, lip balm, lip stick. Why not much of shower cream, shampoo, hair care product? It is quite boring to keep using the same function items over n over again.

Kids have being asking and I have being planning. There isn't a better chance like this for this week despite my heavy workload but my night is always free. MIL has always wanted kids to sleep early but for a chance she suggested we could try a late night show with the kids since they will not be going to school cos of PSLE Oral and Law is still MC at home. Mummy will have to do the rest, check the timing, the theatre, get the tickets and popcorn! We are meeting the blue cuties tonight!!!

I still remember my first mobile phone when I was working. Over the years due to my working enviroment I have being on non camera phone for a while. Then slowly evolving and then my 1st camera phone is iphone 4. That also allow me to surf net n download movies to watch as I go but less than 2 years I have switched from IOS platform to android. I didn't keep up with the Apple craze for very long. In fact very surprised that I adapted quite well with android mobile. As we change phone every 2 years we recycle the phone to our kids. Janelle especially as she is more responsible n need to use more often than Julian. From her 1st nokia phone to Ssung S1 and a short life span with my Apple iphone 4. We upgraded her phone to S3. Not the latest but a year old which is still very new as daddy just got his new S4 for his bday present from me. We also think Janelle needs a better phone as her S1 keep giving her problem. Law also added a share plan for her that she will shared daddy person...

Our cute pie no 1 back home. She got her 1st taste of plain yogurt at my place and yogurt drop from US and she loved them!!!! 

After I posted this kueh up to my facebook. Many ask me what is this? I didn't know, I am just following what other is doing. Sorry I am not the wind chaser for god seek. I am the creator ok. :) Ok, I really dun know what is this, as the name implies above my blog. That is it. I read it was Teochew kueh then the Hokkien claimed it was their kueh. I dun care lah. Why should I? Apparently, you dun really see this in Singapore right. That I why many people asking me what is this? So am I not the creator now!   Let not go around the bushes, you must be eager to bed your teeth on it. The texture is something like bao but slightly chewy and surprisingly they do not stick to the teeth and the more you chewed, the more you want and it can be quite unstoppable. Dun believe me? You go and try making it lor cos you wun be able to find anywhere in Singapore. Nananabubu... hahaha..       I made my kids ate this because...

Love my friends and the nothing beats the time to spend with my best buddies. Must thanks them for pushing for the gathering. 我们小时那美味的小吃。 My sisters were "screaming" over the Whatapps when I posted this picture up to show them. They missed this little sweet snacks so much. We only got to taste this when mum had left over glutinous rice after making the AngChao Wine. She will sweetened it with white sugar and pan-fried till there was so chao ta around the edges. I didn't do it purposely, I was planning to make glutinous rice to bring over my sister place for a gathering but I overcooked the glutinous rice so instead of throwing it away I kept it to make this sweet dessert the next day. Unfortunately, my kids did not appreciate such 'GuzhaoWei" dessert. I will still blog it down in my cooking journey.   When I made this again 2 days later when Xian dropped by my place, she suggested that I coated the rice with a bit of flour. Family gathering... as usual we talk, laugh loudly, teasing babies. Xian made dumplings for us. She made 107 dumplings and worked till 2am. Kudo to my sister, she never so hardworking in her kitchen before. hahhaa of course, the dumplings were yummy and we kept eating n eating.   Mary requested to remake the prawn paste chicken wing and luckily there is helper Miden to help around. We will have to keep thanking her for busy preparing and cleaning in the kitchen. We also love mum fried bee hoon and I missed eating other pple food and me idling around. hahaha..   I created this Luo Ma Kai but failed. It look very nice but the rice was too tough. I pressed down the rice too hard. Mum's tip for me - the rice has to be loosen when added into the chicken for steaming. We decided that everyone of us need to have a proper running shoes and that the kids are to wear it at least once a week to make the worth out of it. Guess which is my pair? I got mine the earliest then Law's pair spoilt and suddenly we embark ourselves to search for running shoes. After daddy came Janelle n we see the need that Julian has a pair to encourage both kids to start be active. Looking for the kids shoes were not easy especially if u want to look for a cheap n nice looking one. We are horrified to learn the shoes size Janelle is wearing and glad that I managed to find Julian's within my budget.  Here the family running shoes has united like the Avengers, only that we are going for sport instead of fighting villians.

I felt so defeated by work that I was fully charge by negative electron in my body and that it started to develop a cancerous cell in me. I have difficulty breathing, feeling nausea and losing my appetite. However, I am glad during the most miserable time of the day my husband will be there fetching me home and present me good food just to make me feel better. He knew my work was difficult. He wished me to see things at the bright side to pull through all hinders. Things are never too bad, mistakes can be corrected. When I pen down here, my breathing was better and I could carry on.
