I was telling my mother in law that I have craving for 年糕  but I was too busy and forgot to get one this year. She said grandma (her mum) place should still have some and grandma will always bought many pieces during Chinese New Year. She volunteer to help me to get 1 piece back and here is my 年糕。 So happy and I can make my 年糕dishes.... yippy.... Well, I didnt really follow any recipe to make fanciful dishes with it. I just simply coat it with egg and pan fry it, just like the way my mum always cooked for us when we were young. It was just as good as it was or because this 年糕 was well made and taste better. My sister did say the 年糕 taste better than those she got, well I guessed grandma was very nice to select the best among her 年糕 lots for me. The old lady always dotes us. Just like the 福 printed on the 年糕.

An able fellow needs the help of three other people.  This proverb points out that to fulfill any task, the support of others is necessary. Regardless how capable one is, one still needs the help of others.

Just got this wonderful gadget for the kids. I am yet to show them the product and I think they will be delighted to receive it. I had came across this at Popular Bookstore and it cost like $80 when 1st launched and I did a search and found that it has dropped to $69.90. That is still expansive to get for the kids and I meant one for each. Thanks to my colleague who help to bring the boogie board in and for the same price I can buy two now. The only not so good is you cannot save what you draw and write on it. Shown to Janelle and she was delighted. She said she could save ink and paper now.  Julian got to see his boogie pad on Friday night. 

Watch too must korean show on 星星, now I have stars on all my nails.

Making the Taiwan style stew meat sauce for the 1st time without knowing what it actually taste like. I have to ask my colleagues who went Taiwan and tasted before for advise. However, I overdose the sauce with rock sugar so it was kind of sweet to me but the kids like it very much cos of the sweetness. 

Suppose to be Mum and daughter bento workshop cos it was the Japan mum.n daughter month but Janelle couldnt make it so Julian take her place.  Got to thanks Faith for signing up for us. 

It was very touching that a friend dropped me an email of concern after reading my blog. She extended her care not only to me but also my family. I believe if she is in Singapore she will have smsed me immediately. Thank you Ashley.

我们家的小妹把三千烦恼丝/思给剪了！给她剪头发的理发师高兴得不得了，还问了小妹好几次是真的要把那头长发都给“做”了吗？

Sometime receiving can be pressurizing. I would rather not seeing any surprises on my table. 大家都到了这个地步又有何必多此一舉.

We are happy for Mary who is brave enough to make the most difficult decision that would have ruined her. To let go is not the end of the world and I am glad she has finally come clear what she wants in her life. Let the man be a passerby than making him a destroyer. We blessed that she will find someone who she loves and loves her with respect. Tonight, we eat, drink, laughter and complain together. May we live to our fullest everyday.

A generous treat from my new lady boss after the re-org to Spring Court for lou hei and lunch. We are so full and lots of laughter and joke on the table. A great team bonding.

Hubby kept his promise and brot me here for Valentine celebration. We did it early to avoid crowd. The pork belly was very well marinated but I find the fat is more than the meat. Not quite use to eat this way buy Law like it.

It shouldnt be annual affair but we are too busy to meet up. A Lou Hei dinner and a chit chat session. Thanks for the friendship especially Issac who is a great mentor always.

Ordered a Anywhere mouse for home and then won another mouse during the department CNY lunch. Did a count, I think I have enough notebooks for the mouse to work on. Haha..

One leisure afternoon..... Son: Mummy, can you stay with me next time? Me: Staying with you? Son: Yes, when I need to work just like daddy then can you stay with me? Me: Why? Son: I need you to look after my kids just like what NaiNai is doing now. Me: Sure but I will scold the kids if they misbehave. Son: Huh. *Silent pause for 10 seconds* Son: Ok lor. If the kids are really naughty. Me: I will also canned naughty kids too. Are you sure you want me to take care? Son: HUH!!!! Can you only canned them when they are Primary 6? Me: Cannot! It will be too late to do so if the kids turn Primary 6 *Silent pause for another 10 seconds* Son: Ok lor. No choice. My dear son had started to plan far ahead. I hope he will still remembers his requests 20 years down the road.

There are always many great moment of kids spending good times with uncles and aunties when we are out. Thanks for their loving kindness, their patience and lots of jokes and laughter. The kids are very much love by you.

好像回娘家一样, 兄弟姐妹们都会聚在一起。小孩们也如回婆婆家看婆婆 的兴奋, 每年都问我几时去我老师家拜年。 老师很硬朗, 身体也好精神有如教我们的时候。 老师您要身体健康喔!

To welcome wealth, there is a circulation to deposit money into your bank at specific timing. Everyone or Chinese must have got the news and all are queuing at the ATM deposit machine to put in money. I didnt manage to catch the timing but never mind as long as we all did the auspicious things.  I was at Bras Basah station after my lesson and it happen to have a ATM deposit with less queue so I deposit for myself and Law. Mission accomplished.  富贵跟着我们跑。

Eating the beansprout we grew ourselves.  Very interesting and doesnt taste too bad. Yummy....

Need to cure the hungry tummy after a leisure walk at the bird park. Janelle katsu don set.  Hubby set A. Very filling one. Julian ramen set My salmon fish head and soft shell crab set. cheap and good. He loves his ramen set and the california maki is good.  Let put our foot step here. Take a picture leave a memory. A great sunset. A great view.
