On leave and planning to bring the kids to visit the battle ship of Singapore -LST. I didnt manage to ballot for the tickets to visit the ship so I decided to try my luck to see if we could go aboard. The crews told us we could go to the Navy RSN booth to get a small little boarding pass but it only allow us to go to the deck. Whatever, it is better than nothing. I went to the booth to get something like this. One encik told me I can queue to ballot the ticket for 6- 8pm visit. The queue was so long, we will just visit the deck.  The kids were disappointed we couldnt go further into the ship to explore. I explained on the queue issue and we will just go n see what we can explored.  The sky was dark but we decided not to wait for the weather to explored the ship. A teacher who just came back from Netherland shared a story with us.  "When I asked people what would they like to wish for? Many people will wish for prosperity, good luck, win lottery,  good health ....  While I was conducting a blessing session with the natives, there was an old couple who was about 80 years old. I asked him what he will wish for. He looked at me and introduced me to his wife who was as old as him. Then he said "I wish I can live longer so i have more time with my wife. I have everything already." His request was so simple and touching. He is not asking for money and health. The old man just wanted to have more time with his wife." We all were touched by his wish. While we chase after paper money, people in Netherland treasure relationship more. 

Almost without fail we will travel back to Sitiawan to celebrate my grandma birthday. Infact, was thinking not to proceed and wanted to head somewhere else but Law said we should go ahead since BKK is not a safe place to travel now. Pre-holiday preparation - Planning We know the purpose of going back - to celebrate my grandma birthday but this is always a one day affair then WHAT? Spending 8 hrs of driving into Sitiawan cannot be just for 1 day. We will start looking for other purpose to continue traveling since Malaysia is so big and we believe there are other places we could explore especially on food. So we head KL -> Sitiawan -> Penang -> KL -> JB -> Home for this trip. The 1st karaoke encounter for Julian was this year when Law's coy invited the family for the coy event. Everything paid by his coy and all we need was to go and enjoy. There were uncles and aunties so I didnt expect the kids will sing although they can sing better and latest songs than me. They sat throughout the session, smiling and playing with our mobile phones. One day, Law said he wanted to go Karaoke to sing. He wasn't a Karaoke person, he loves songs but did not really sing so most of the time I will go singing with my own kakis. His suddenly urge to me was more like a bullshit request cos I do not believe he really feel like doing it. We are in the a gadget x less century mean gadget cannot less or no gadget will dead century. LOL. I think friends cannot agree more than me. Recently, we got a new gadget in our house. A new Android TV box, it is not new in the market but it never cross my mind to own one. However, Law's cousin Ryan is very kind enough to order one for us and got his China mother-in-law to bring into Singapore for us and he refused to us to pay him. Must be our good relationship with him and his China wife. LOL. We seldom met cos everyone is so busy with their work, life and family. The only time we will schedule to meet will be at Chinese Lunar New Year and it was a big gathering with so many cousins and kids together so it is hard for each to get to chit chat with each and everyone. My KPO nature made me strike common conversation with my China cousin-in-law had granted me some good feedback on myself. The family has been spotting Moth of a size of a palm everywhere in the neighborhood and we got one flying into our house last night. Didnt know what to do? Was hopping it will fly out on it own and it is such a beautiful creature that we didnt want it to get hurt. 

My yummy pandan chiffon cake. After so many round of trying, I hope it turn out well.  Good cracking on top.  A good height.  Great texture.  Over whisked the egg white and it is too stiff that I still have some unmixed white spotted in the cake. 

When nobody is around and I am lucky to be able to get crab in my wet market. I get to enjoy the crab all to myself.

The day started with me calling the kids to wake up at 530am and after much dragging (I have anticipated that) the kids only manage to wake up at 6am and we manage to leave the house when the sky was still not ready to be awaken.  Well, the effect of waking up early was to get a black face from my son. The only way to make him get out of the bed was when I said I need to find my whip! I wonder how is he going to wake up starting next year and will be be in constant battle with him?  The black face didnt turn any brigher, I have to control my anger in the early morning. Breathe... I told myself that he will get better later.  Luckily Janelle manage to take it well and at least there is only 1 I need to deal with.  We reached around 7am, we were told to reached at 7am and my event is suppose to starts around 7:40am. While bringing the kids to Popular bookstore to select a gift for their bday friend. I am hunting for culinary book again. This one seem good cos I have no collection about curry before and I was lousy with curry. It will be nice to have one book to guide me along. And so this book is following me home and joining my collection family.

This Saturday everyone except Law is out for party. The kids were invited to their classmate birthday party while mummy together with popo and ah yee going for Zumba fitness party. At 1st I was not too sure was I still able to shake my butt infront of so many people. However the atmosphere was really hot and we all dancing and enjoying it althot I cant keep up with many steps but I was shaking my butt, doing twisting of waist. woho... it was fun and tiring. Julian was invites to Forest Adventure by his classmate. Hubby was there to take photos. I wanted to bring the kids there all the while. Look like all the kids are really brave.  Julian said this was quite scary but he managed to complete it.  May be without daddy and mummy around, the true brave self will be show up.
