Mass babies photo shoot

Image
One of the Sept mummy went to clinch a deal with a studio for baby photoshooting. I signed up as it was really cheap, for less than $50 so I think so harm to bring Skyler to get some nice shots. It was massive and also messy and also very fast and short. Photographer only took like 2 shoots of me and Skyler and it was someone turns.  What to expect for a $50 shoot right! I am just hoping the photo turn out good.  Selfie with Skyler while waiting for our turn Skyler was very co-operative that day and he was playing with the toys around. While waiting and also making use of the lighting from the studio. Quickly took a few shots with Sky. Baby love apple. He likes his watermelon too. Cooling down in studio. It was so warm outside. Some of the babies. Actually I didnt really build much relationship with these Sept mummies.

上海 Day 5

上海 Day 4

上海 Day 3

Image
Its my day 3 in Shanghai, and I decided I am moving over to the other side of the river to venture the little city. Law suggested that I should try 人民广场 so I do some search to see what I can actually do there. Shanghai is just a very modern city which is not much different from Singapore but somehow the street is very very clean and you will be amazed you cannot find a dropped leave on the pathway.  When I stepped out of the street, I see skyscrappers greeting me. It was quite a warm day but at least I get some beautiful sky comparing to the earlier two days. I actually have no idea where I should go, I though there will be something for me to see at 人民广场 but I was wrong, it was just an open space so this is just like a meeting ground for some people, there is a nearby park but I am not interested wit the park. I asked around and imagine even the police man around isnt as friendly or useful to me. I am more appreciated that the drink stall teenagers about to talk to me in a ...

上海 Day 2

Image
Today, I will get to move around myself as Law will need in his exhibit for the next 3 days. After breakfast, I stayed in my room, making use of the free Wi-Fi and started to search for the places of interested to visit. However, the weather doesnt look very good, raining cooling and was what I really like.  Pudong Avenue was the nearest Metro Station from my hotel and to move from one line to another line there are many many interchange to change from. Shanghai Metro transport is well-networked which can bring you to many places in Shanghai. However, if u wanna see their life, it will be good to walk around, get lose and be surprised. Unfortunately, my shoes is giving me some pain so I tried to minimise as much walk as possible. This is one of the highly recommended taoist temple to visit from the baidu website and it was not very far from hotel so I decided to drop by to have a look.

上海 Day 1

Image
It was evening time when we reached hotel, it took about 45 min drive from Shanghai Pudong Airport to our hotel. Law brought me to a chinese restaurant which his colleague recommended.  Law wanted his seasoned vinegar jellyfish, we had vegetable, soup and I ordered a bottle of their China beer. I asked for cold beer but they did have and when we asked for ice, they told us they ran out of ice. OMG, it was quite a high class restaurant and they had nothing of the simplest thing I asked for.  Law said TianZiFang was a must place to visit as it reserved some old traditional street of Shanghai. There were shops around and some very traditional street if you really enjoy it, but I finished walking around in about 1.5hours.

Flying to 上海

Image
飞咯! We took China Eastern airline to Shanghai, this was my 1st trip to Shanghai and I was looking forward for the short and relaxing trip. Checking in to The Eton Hotel Shanghai, Law said this was not the largest room he had stayed. He couldnt understand why his UK colleague wanted to stay here. However, I find the venus quite good because just across the road is the Metro. The hotel breakfast was quite nice but crowded with many ang mo.

Hong Kong cafe in west of Singapore

Image
Law brought us to a Hong Kong cafe at Jurong point for dinner after dropping by his office to pick up some documents.  The moment you stepped into the restaurant, you thought you are in Hong Kong but much much spacious and friendlier servers.  Law recommended the roasted pork and it was good. The porridge is tasty too.

Poor Skyler fell from the bed because kor kor wanna get him toy and left him on our bed for a while. We think he must have landed his face on the floor because we see bruises on his nose. Daddy just wanted to be sure and insisted to bring him to KKH for a quick check. It was a quick morning, not many patients at A&E and we got attended immediately.  All check show he is ok, we just need to monitor.  Julian kor kor felt so bad of his carelessness that caused didi so much pain that he hide under his blanket. I told him it's ok, just rbr dun do it again. I need him and Janelle to look after the house and take care themselves while we rush Skyler to hospital.

Mother's Day celebration

Image
Was asking my sister where to bring my mum to celebrate Mother's day and we all love food so she suggested we go and try this "Battle of the Crabs". Well the fact was my sister tasted before and she didnt have enough so she suggested we go for it again. it was located at Little India. There are many ways of cooking crabs and they are famous for their pumpkin claypot crabs which is really good. There are black pepper, chilli, salted roasted, salted egg etc.  Very worth it if you are great crabs eater and u can just have crabs the whole night.

Homemade noodles

Image
There are always many things to do at home, especially one food. I got this manual noodles machine a few years back but I didnt really get to make any.  Just feel like eating homemade noodles, so I got the dough ready, bring out my machine and started rolling it. The kids get to help, and stime I will just stand aside to instruct them what to do. The outcome of the noodles was great, chewing texture.  See how Julian can help.  I was intended to cook Mee Hoon Kway but then decided the noodles looked better instead. The kids are not so keen on the spinach noodles so i didnt make much. For dinner I suggest we change to dried version and the kids all enjoyed it very much.  Making noodles is not joke, infact quite tough so imagine anyone left half of the portion on the bowl, can you imagine how heartaching the maker feel. But luckily the kids finished everything so there was no heartache for that day.  Law said he love the noodles I mad...

翰宝宝名字的渊源

I was tidying up my Whatsapp chat group when I chance upon the convensation I had with Wan Ming who help us to name our baby chinese name. 黄禹翰  (註:翰,唸han,在古代的意思是指文字,翰林,是以前在皇帝身边的文学侍从官。因为这个字带有文气,蛮适合您的孩子,所以我选这个字。)

Finally back home

I missed my little Skyler and he still recognized mummy. Ha.. Of course he does and he can't wait for me to carry him.

Julian's sketches

This son amazes me sometime. He drew them just by seeing it over his mobile phone. If drawing helps him to release tension from his daily homework I will encourage him to do so.  They are very nicely done right!

Day 5 of Sawadeeka

Day 4 of Sawadeeka

Image
Good morning Day 4 of my Bangkok trip. We made sure we were going for our praying to the local 4 Face buddha before we set off for my trip. It was so crowded but we managed to pray finally. Our aim for Day 4 was to go to the fruit market - On Tar Kor market. We took a cab there and reached there in no time. The market was really clean and there was no decay smell at all. It was really a nice place to walk around for fruit & local food.  I wanted to get some local snack. This stall selling fried prawn, fried fish skin for local to munch on as snacks. I got myself a pack of the little fish (like ikan bilis but not really) and a seafood shrimp chilli mix home. Fruit and seafood. There are more fruit stalls then seafood. I was quite surprised how clean the market was and it didnt smell bad. Of course the big market had more fruit and dry stalls than the wet stalls but it was so well kept. There were many food stalls and all the food look mo...
