After sending Skyler to in law place I decided I have some time to have my breakfast before heading for my breast check up. Did a breast scan and have to wait to see the doctor on 05 Nov. I wanted to try this stall at Chinatown. They offered the soup version. I think I pick too much ingredients this round, forgetting I am eating alone. Seriously, the soup version is really good. I asked for just a little bit of spicy and the stall really did it a little. Will try the none spicy version next time, I cannot tahan the spicy version. I saw people laterally digging in a pool of red oil.

Simple dinner I made from whatever I can find in my fridge.

Brother baby Luther is out. I'm a happy aunt again. Family is expanding. 

We brought mum to Parkroyal Si Chuan Dou Hua for Dim Sum buffet. Everyone turns up. Mummy and baby waiting for the food. I didnt take much food photos but only pick a few that worth taking down. This siew mai were really cute. All top with a mini abalone but I am not an abalone fan. This dish got the heat but luckily it came in a small bowl and only allow to order once. The cold cut plate is great, I love the roasted pork and the duck, the chicken look spicy but wasnt. My happy mum with all her grandchildren. 7 to date and one more on the way.

So happy when we brought him out for shopping. Jie jie is dressing me up. How do I look mummy? Its no joking bringing his little monster out now.

Saw a banana cake recipe and I am dying to try it. Here my bananas waiting to be baked. Using my brand new bundt new for baking. I love the pattern on the cake after the bake. Non-stick... super good cos we all love the brown on the cake. 1st bake. Good. Janelle also love it so I decided to bake more. I used this beautiful waxed paper cake tin but I cant remember where i got it from. Could it be Phoon Huat? I up the recipe to 4 eggs so I can fill the tin to the full. I have craving for the chocolate cookie Janelle made all the time. I requested her to make for us. She is a very season baker for this recipe. She is so good in it. I double the batch and made quite a bit to share with my nieces and nephew. My sister said her husband aka Janelle xiao yi zha love it so much and he finished all the cookie on his own.

It is very hard for me to understand why are people putting the blame on other when they themselves are the insensitive towards others feeling.  We are proud of our own children and we cannot deny people tends to compare and praise on our own kids infront of other. However, when come to a point to stop, please put it a FULL STOP.  Don't name your friend to be petty to unfriend you from their FB. They just couldnt stand it anymore.  Seriously I also unfriend or unfollow people in my facebook because they are too noise in the circle. So to not let people feel offended, just simply unfollow.

Finally after attending so many rounds of birthday gathering, it was my and Viven turn! Both of us had our birthday in October and we al ways hold the gathering together. Last year I got to chose the restaurant for celebration and this year Viven got to chose it. She chose House of Peranakan for our dinner. It was located at Frankel Ave area, and there are some restaurant on the same roll. Look very rustic . Very peranakan. However in the restaurant we only see 2 waiters and serving and taking our order. We didnt even see the owner at all. It was a small place, a few tables. We ordered the platters, the prawns, Black nut chicken, beancurd in sambal, chap chye etc. A group photos but it was blur. This is a better shot but without Joe else will be so perfect! Everyone turns up this time so happy to see everyone. We had a great chit chat at airport yakun till 11pm.

There was a haircut saga just a week ago when we brought the kids for a haircut. When it was Julian's turn I asked the stylist to give my boy a more stylist cut. I didnt want the boyish cut anymore, he should be ready for the next phase - teens. Futhermore we are going to Korea soon so a more stylish cut when we travel will look nice on the photo. Stylist said he will did a nice cut for him. This was the final cut that the stylist did for him but soon after we realised Julian expression change. He didnt want this at all. Still a blur look. Soon he was crying and he told us he just wanted a normal cut that he used to have. No matter how we tried to convince him, he just didnt want it. Stubborn for nothing. His side looks on  the new style. No choice, he wasnt confortable with the new style so we have to ask the stylist to try his best to revert back the normal style.  These was nothing much he could do to the side but he cut short his top, trying to normalise ...

Mum and Mary said they will gave us a dinner treat for our birthday where mine and Xian falls in October. This time we gear ourselves to the spicy grilled fish. The restaurant is located at Liang Seah street, a small restaurant and we got a seat ourside instead and the queue was snaking after we sat down and ordered our food. A beer will be great to cool down the spice. Tsingtao supposed to taste very light but it has a bitter after taste which I didnt like and it taste worse when it was not cold. Our 1st CQ grilled fish and Mary order the mid spice level. Not really big but most of the table only have 1 fish but we are waiting for our next fish to come. The french bean was great, although you see dried chilli in every dish but doesnt mean it taste spicy. Here was our sour fish, seriously this was much better than the spicy fish. Appetizer - seriously very garlicky but very good if you dun mind the taste of garlic. 辣子鸡 - you will regret if you didnt order this ...

Mulberry plant - I got it from my market. I am more interested to make use of the leaves than the fruits but there isnt enough leave yet so I wait n wait for it to grow more. One of the PSLE morning, we dropped  by Kovan for breakfast and also plants shopping. This is a small pot of 富贵花 plant so I am hoping I have some luck this time to grow it better. I cant remember the name of the plant but I have this for many years and it is still growing very strong. Every now and then the plant will give me a flower but this flower really nothing fantasy and if you didnt take a closer look you probably miss it. I went to get a bigger pot to re-pot the plant. I have not intention to throw it away. Ok. I try growing the pandan after I used the leave for my cooking. I planted 3 but only 2 survived but I count myself super lucky to see new leaves growing. Is this chilli or tomatoes? No idea but as long as it is growing, it is blessed.
