【孝道、尊重、反省】 大學的最後一年有一門課程叫「人生」。 最後一節課，老師說要考試。「三道題目都很簡單，」老師笑眯眯地說：「記得父母生日的同學請舉手！」片刻，女生都齊刷刷地舉起了手，有幾個男生畏畏縮縮地舉起了手，又放了下去。 老師繼續問：「教學樓裡有三個清潔工，誰能叫出其中兩個人的名字？」這下大家都傻眼了。三年了，怎麼從來沒留意過她們？ 老師接著拋出了第三道題：「你是否打過自己的耳光？」這一回，所有的學生都哧哧地笑了起來。打自己耳光，恐怕只有傻瓜或瘋子才幹得出來吧？嘈雜的議論聲漸漸平息下來了，老師說話了：「‘人生’這門課程，旨在引導我們樹立正確的人生觀和世界觀，教導我們今後如何立身處世、如何成人成才。今天的三道考題，可以說是對同學們做了一個大概的檢驗。」 「第一題——記住父母的生日。」老師在黑板上重重地寫下了「孝道」兩個字，「孝道教人善良，心存孝道的人，必定具有善的根苗，有善的根苗，才可能開出善花，結出善果。」 「第二題——記住你身邊每一個人的名字。」老師又寫下了「尊重」兩個字，「記住別人的名字，是尊重別人的表現之一，尊重別人才能得到別人的尊重。尊重使人寬厚。基石寬厚方能負重，人心寬厚方可立業。」 「最後一題——如果你不記得父母的生日，又叫不出清潔工人的名字，那麼，你就該打自己一記耳光了。」老師又在黑板上寫下了「反省」二字，「反省促人進步，有反省才有悔悟，有悔悟才會有進步，才會有成才的可能。」 這三道看似簡單的題實則蘊含著豐富的人生哲理：一個人善良與否，決定了他將來是否有用；寬厚與否，決定了他將如何發揮作用；而能否不斷反省、不斷進步，則決定了他是否能持久向前，愈來愈有用！

Parents are always more anxious than the child who actually took the paper. When I checked with Janelle how she felt she will fare for her O level Chinese paper. She actually told me she find it hard. OMG, my heart dropped to the bottom. Higher Chinese trained student doesnt mean they will achieve higher than student who just took normal chinese.  So on the result release day, I text her. She said she will show me when back home. Usually kid will be in denial mode to show parent lousy result. She scares me. I have to wait for her back home in order to know. Then she passed me her result slip and the certification both facing down. I was peeking into the result as if I was playing poker card hoping for a "pointer" letter instead of anything round. Pointer meaning an "A" anything round will be a "B" or "C". Yes I saw something pointer, so happy! She not only got an A, she got an A1 and a Distinction for her Chinese Oral.  I'm so proud...

My ger is 16. Time really flies. I wanted to get her a nicer long purse and finally I manage to get something she likes.  Birthday celebration is about makan n makan. Bring her to Beauty in the pot to try, I'm glad my kids are not big spender and also know how to save money for me. She didnt want me to order too much because it was not cheap. She said one experience is good enough.  Here we have our reunion lunch with my in law at Law grandma's place and it also happened to be Janelle's lunar bday too. She said she wanted mango cake. In the end we got 2 cakes for her. One mango yogurt cake and one mango cake from four leave. The mango yogurt cake is really good. 

I got a box of expired korean hot-cake in my cupboard. I bot it in 2018 when we went korea for holiday but it was a waste to just throw it away as it just expired so I decided to try making it. Hopefully no tummy ache. All the instructions are in korean and luckily to technology. I can translate it pretty fast. My hwawei is trying to translate as accurate as possible. Anyway I can make up what the instruction wanted me to do so the dough still turn up good.  Watching the actual pancake cooked when I was in korea and also watching youtube a few time. The sugar filling taste just like what we had in Korea. The pack can make around 8 pieces. 

Can't remember when did I fall in love avocado. Love it on my bread as spread. 

Why am I tempted? Not only because of the technology but also the cool docking stand that save me the trouble to drill the wall for the bracket. I can place all the brushes on the stand and some of the accessories are pretty cool. Best of all, the hair doesn't entangle on it. My V10 came with a stand which I can install all the accessories on it.  I do not have to wall mount it. save me from drilling.  It was so neat. I only need to place near a electric outlet for me to charge it. 

After all the shopping for kids and gift exchange I finally get to shop for myself.  I got tempted by Ah Seng about Dyson vacumm cleaner and when Court having a good promo. 我就沦陷了！
