A promise to keep. Yes, I promised Janelle that we will celebrate one of her birthday much special than other of her birthday and I felt that the best timing will be her 6 th birthday. By then, she has alots of friends to celebrate her bday with her. She will remember this bday celebration, and she also gets to enjoy the games that will be organised by the organisers. After looking ard for places to hold her birthday, we decided to set it at KFC and at the venue - Playground althot National Stadium outlet is nearer to us. We visited the two venues and realised Playground outlet has one corner for bday party which National Stadium outlet doesn't really has. The outlet manager is very nice and helpful comparing to the other branch. He explained well on the terms and conditions and even give us some good advises while holding the party there. Busy busy busy... 1stly, I was schedule to attend a 13 days Engineering courses that was conducted inhouse from the 1st working day in 2010, following on an Engineering test that was held a week later. Inbetween the course, I need to excuse myself for project meeting, preparing paper for higher forum approval. Beside work I have to plan for Janelle's bday celebration. (unfortunately, it was not so well planned). I thot I could use that 4 days to study for my test (with a material of 8cm thick that I have to read thru) but end up I have to rush for a presentation slide so we can present it to some logistic support dept. Little luck of mine that I do not need to attend the presentation so I requested to take leave to "cheong" for my test which was on Friday. After looking thru all the coach bag, there is nothing I really really like so decided not to pay so much for the bag. So I went thru Gmarket once again and found something I like and not expansive. It only cost like 10% of a coach bag. This bag only cost me less than $19, and very nicely constructed. Best part is the bag actually from Korea and FOC delivery to my doorstep. I recieved the delivery memo from the courier service but I was just too busy to arrange for redelivery and one day while working I got a called from the seller calling me from Korea. He wanted to make sure that I receieved my bag else to remind me to quickly make an arrangement for collection. Well, the reason being that if the item was not collected at a specify time-frame, it will be returned back to the sender. Reunion with friends is never easy, especially when we need to find a day that fit into everyone schedule. Thanks LinLin for trying so hard to make everyone get together and we finally set a date to come together once again. It is quite impossible to get all the P6 classmates as we really lost contact for many many years. Everyone has tried their best and we could only find Sam, Yumei, Sumei and Wenzhong. I have always in contact with Sam, Wenzhong and sumei. LinLin is always in contact with Yumei and that help to connect us back together. I have made my promised to cook the roasted pork belly for Sam when he is back to Spore so i suggest the next meet up at my place. I cooked roasted pork belly, prawn, ang chao soup, wine chix with fungus and steam fish for the kids. Law came back with a very interesting product a candle light aroma diffuser that doesnt use candle. It was powered by AA batteries/ USB and there is a light bulb in it. I only need to BLOW the CANDLE to off the light.... Very child friendly product...

Mary was given an incentive trip to Beijing for her good performance. We are all very excited for her, giving her as much advised and help as possible. I even asked Ethel if she could borrow her jacket and glove for Mary so Beijing was at the coldest point now. Ethel was so nice to borrow us her jacket with down feather inner and glove. Mary's bf father spent hundred dollar to get her a cashmere scarf and heat pack to bring over. I have requested Mary to get a pair of white adidas shoes for Ethel to thanks her for lending us her jacket. Well, she came back with mostly kids stuffs instead of stuffs for herself. She said the things there were really cheap but need to spend some time to bargain for the items which she did not have such luxury. Her itiernary was very packed and she was only give 2 hrs to shop. Cant rbr when was the time my brother - Michael developed the hobit of fishing and as years gone by his skill only gets better. When he found out abt my catch on my 1st prawning trip, he couldnt help to tease me. As the number of prawns I caught for 3 hrs was pathetic. I asked my more encouragement, at least I didnt go home with empty net. At 10pm, Michael called me. He asked if I was at home and wanted to pass me a pack of fresh prawn after his 6 hrs prawning. When he came over my place, I saw two big bags of it. He handed over a smaller pack of two so that I could cook during weekends. The kids were not in bed when Ah Gui was here. Janelle and Julian were thrilled to find out the large prawns Ah Gui caught. Althot this was not the 1st time that he had attending the lesson without tear but he was still very proud of himself for not crying. The moment he stepped into the classroom, he reported to the teacher immediately. 老师，我没有哭！ 我的小帅哥又再一次让妈妈感到好骄傲。

I was informed end of Dec by Mrs Teo, who is the principal of the centre that she was going to conduct a session with the parents regarding the MOE new way of teaching Chinese in Primary school. Jasmine reminded me again the the actual day when I bumped into her in the morning. Such briefing is hard to come by and I have learnt that Mrs Teo is not a woman who is only interested in making $$ at her centre but she really put in effort to keep up with MOE new teaching way as years come by. I was lucky as Law did not need to work on this weekends and he could help me to jagar the kids after their lessons so I could attend the briefing. The briefing was conducted after the kids lesson, the centre had arranged the teachers to keep the kids occupied with drawing, coloring and stories while the parents could attend the briefing which lasted 1hr.
