If asked whether the kids worked hard for their exam? May be should ask if the parents worked harder to revise with them. To go through everything in a squashed days are quite impossible so to be more realistic, tackled the problem and strengthen the foundation. During the post exam period, my mother in law will kamcheong together with me on the kids work. We also working to our last brain juice to grant as much bonus from the kids in Oct. Our Bonus - is the kids result. After every paper, I will asked the same question "How is the paper today?" Waiting for the kids responses, their body, facial expression and responsing tone allow me to make 1st assessment on how they will fare for the paper. Especially Julian, if he was able to reply confidently then I would expect a better grade for the paper. Then I wait, to wait for result to see if my analogy is correct. Look like the best bread machine is still our hands. I begin to get a hand on the dough. started to understand how the dough should be like, not over knead the dough, handling the dough etc. It is so exciting to see your dough rising high and soft feeling on the hand.

We always visit the regular Indian restaurant when we wanted our Indian food but this time we decided to try another restaurant since there are so many to chose from so you can imagine the competition at that few streets. Ma Raj is just opposite the Mustafa Travelling office. We had walked past this restaurant numerous time but only decided to give it  try today. This area is always busy with cars and people especially tourists. I always love this place cos there are so many interesting stuffs to see.  A good resting place after shopping at Mustafa but for us, we gear ourselves with energy 1st before we start ours.  Butter Chicken - nice. Hubby's vegetrian meal for dinner. 

Lawrence likes Bak ku teh but I am not really a big fan of Singapore style BKT but today I just felt like adore him. Saw a beautiful slat of small rib bones from the butcher. Cook it simple, blanched it to get rids of the blood. I placed the ribs into a pot of water to start with. Prepare a special ingredient and let the soup cook in slow fire before I add in the BKT spices and into the thermal pot. The result was many thumbs up. The soup is flavourful, clear and sweet. No salt required. The soup was meant for dinner and there was no left over. Law said I must cook this again.

It gets a little crazy when we gets to prepare for our year end trip and Law and me were excited more than the kids. We trying to hide our excitement from the kids so they could concentrate on their coming papers. Meanwhile both of us are constantly thinking of we have enough appropriate clothing for the trip and if we buying anuthing no suitable or over buy etc. While buying n buying this is one of the good stuffs I got for the kids. Janelle chose the colour of the jacket and when it arrived, i thougj the seller or I chose the wrong colour. But Janelle said that was what she wanted and she love it so much. She allowed th jacket to hang on her for a while before I urge her to remove it. Bought her size L that has some allowance to grow or if she need extra inner clothing but i think the jacket is pretty warm.  I simply love this winter boots although it cost slightly more than the other boots I saw at Qoo10. Now Janelle can share my shoes, I got her to showcase the boot...

My Sulwhasoo wash are finally here. After a long wait and I am so happy with the product. Unfortunately, no stock for the cleansing oil which I really think it will be useful for my trip. After trying the finisher, I fell in love with it and decided to order more for my trip and share with my sister. No way for me to bring the bottle, it is just too heavy n bulky to bring along. The snow ex cleansing is thick and can use for 4 washes. Very worth it as most of the sample only give 2 washes.  Pass my MIL a few samples to try as well. 

I realised my nutella is going to expire soo n and I still have one unopen bottle. Dun want to let Law has the reason to cut my shopping next time I better find a way to use up this bottle. I saw someone posted nutella chiffon so I though no harm trying out too. The cake turn out very well.  Firm instead of soft. Rise well and did not collapsed after cooling down.  Not the best best texture tho. When I 1st test taste it, i dun

We ate the best Kuih Kodok at Katong from a Malay stall. Their are soft and each dough fritter packed with lots of sweet banana. It was so good and kids love it. I happened to buy a big bunch of banana from Dover. 

Janelle has being attend Olympiad Maths training for weeks and I cant remember when she started it. I wanted her feedback if the training was useful to her. She said there are few techniques that was taught in the training to make them think Math differently. Will that make her score tip top in Maths? Not really but slowly as I want to train her to see the solving pattern in Math. This is definitely required in PSLE Maths.

As usual, I attended my regular mediation conducted each week. We get to ask question when we have doubts in the teaching. There was a question that pop up which I have being asking myself for many years especially when I lost my path along the way. What is my purpose in work? What is my purpose in this life? I admired people who have answer for the above questions. No doubts, striving toward the targets.  Explanations were given as simple as. A housewife purpose in life is to maintain the house well, well being of the children, warm meals, clean house so the husband has no worry about children and household issue.  This example seem so simple and unambitious but it actually enlighten me. Happiness in life can be so simple and peaceful.  I asked myself what is my purpose in work and do I want to achieve a status in the company. I think it is more than 20 year that I last step into Kusu Island. Bro in law suggested to make a day trip to pray and explore the island. Why not??? Furthermore, I was told that Kusu Pilgrimage has a period from 24 Sept - 23 Oct.  Meeting them at 830am, we will be taking a ferry from Marina South Pier to the island but there was limited car park at Marina South Pier so we have to park our car at Marina Bay Cruise Center and took a ferry bus to the pier. The fee to Kusu Island is $18 for adult and $12 for kid. There is a MRT station next to the pier - Marina Bay MRT (NS27) but it was not operational yet else SBS bus service 402 reach the pier too.  Kusu Island is one of Singapore Southern Islands, Is home to the popular Da Bo Gong (Tua Pek Kong) temple and the Kramats.
