We were told that we will have to spend much one metal end of the year. It was so true and really unbelievable. 1stly, Our car aircon broken down and required repair works, then our car battery was used up faster than expected. We have to buy a new battery. Lastly, our home use laptop had broken down for a while n the backup could no longer support us anymore. We renew a new notebook for family used. For me I have to undergo some medical treatment. Hope for a better year

I think the biggest event this year is my brother wedding. It is not grand but wedding is alot of hardwork for the family. There is bound to have misunderstanding between families then miscommunication between the old and young generation. Last minutes requirement from the parents, tones and tones of it to blog but I just wanted to take a small note out of it as a memory of events for year 2012. The sudden urge to hold the wedding cos the bride couldnt wait anymore so the wedding proceed. ROM was done in Singapore and we had a combined dinner in IPOH. Btw, is it not a traditional for the two family to hold just 1 dinner. Usually, we will hold at two venues to take care of our own relatives. Julian loves noodles and ramen. Janelle loves rice and don. We end up in Japanese restaurant again. Me? Lost my interest in food. Hahahaa....

It is still my birthday month so here I continue to get pampered with beauty n food regime. My 1st Gelish nail since many said it suppose to be lasting n less harmful to nails. However it doesn't come cheap, luckily I got 50% on my birthday month. On top of that I add on a nail art ony toes. Lovely rosy....

The letter has come to inform us to bring Julian to meet his new school. I hope he will like the new school that he is going to and at the sametime able to adapt to the new learning environment. Hope he is more sensible and attentive. Hope he will able to find kind and nice friends. Hope he will be learned to be independent. Hope he will be loved by his classmates and teachers. At this moment, I feel so sad that my little baby boy has grown up. He is one step further from me, soon he may not even want me to kiss him and he giving me morning kisses.

Julian was shocked to spot my long finger nails and I was questioned by him. Son: mummy why didn't you cut your nails? They are so long and pointed. Mum: mummy can have long nails. Son: why you need long nails? Mum: so I can turn into werewolf at night. Son: werewolf! Oh I see a pointed tooth. It is just like wolf! Mum: see! I told you I will turn werewolf at night. Julian giving me the unbelievable look. Mum: at night when u n jie jie had slept, mummy will turned into wolf. My nails will grow longer, my teeth will grow sharper. Howl....... Son: really???? Mum: I think Julian will turn werewolf soon. I can see you have pointed tooth too. Son: no lah.... Hmmm really? I think I have pointed teeth too. Mum: hmmm may be you turn little werewolf tonight!!! Found a shop selling yummy egg tarts opposite Parkway Parade. We tried egg tart, green tea tart and mushroom chicken tart. The kids love the savory mushroom chicken tarts very much. $1.40 for a small tarts, not really cheap but delicious.

Weekends are always a busy day for me especially if I need to cook meals but I enjoyed it very much. Furthermore is as week without hubby fussing around - even better. hahaha... I missed Ang Chao, after listening to MIL complaints about how her ang chao with misused by BIL family. She was really upset. Didnt know there is so much she responsible she has to carry. So I am after all not a bad DIL right, at least I dun act kind and innocence. So I decided to cook ang chao soup to teach those who wasted precious ang chao a lesson. hahahaha... We used to have lot of ang chao but since mum has decided to make business with it we dun it as often now. It is such a precious ingredient now that I do not give any away even if friend as for it. This is a simple dish. I chopped up the long bean, fried with onion and set aside. You can always prepare the fillings ahead. During my BDS gathering, a friend of mine asked Janelle what did she want to be when she grew up? She stop for a while and told her she wanted to be a scientist. She was prompted to be specified on what scientist she wanted to become. Janelle paused and my friends prompted again. She was given a few type of occupational term which can be parked under as "Scientist". She queries and my friends answered her as much as possible to give her some insight of different kinds of scientist she can be. A day later, she asked me what she need to do become a scientist. I told her to build up on her language 1st, then her Maths and Science since she wanted to go into science. She wondered why she need to work hard for her Chinese too. I explained she need it because that is her mother tongue and there are possibility she may need to go China to work. She need to know how to read and write her report in Chinese next time if needed. As cute as the sender and I never like a coin bank this much. Even when I was shopping, it never cross my mind this cat is so cute that I wanted to own one. Now the kids will pat n feed cutie catty every night. Miao....

They have being swimming together for nearly two years. Looking out for each other during lesson. Looking forward for each other every weekend. We try to maintain a good swimming habit for them even when they have completed all the swimming tests.

Thought of making pork chop for hubby althot I have never made any before. As for the kids, they are having pan fried curry fish fillet n potato salad. I made the kids favorite mushroom n broccoli soup, I even add celery n additional mushroom in the soup. It was more for them to take their vegetable in an easier way. The soup is always a bit hit in the family, even my sister n nephew love it. Bon appetite!!!

Mid Autumn again and this year we had the celebration at mum's place. Many goodies food prepared. I made roasted pork and oven bake pork ribs. It was my 1st attempt, following Alton John recipe. It was great.... And everyone still love my roasted pork. On top of that I also attempt Cheesecake for the 1st. Following the recipe from allrecipe.com. The cake turned out great, despite many comment and suggestion of tweaking the recipe but I decided to follow the original recipe for my 1st attempt. Realise making a cheesecake is not cheap. As a block of 250g of cheese already cost me $5.85, imagine I need 4 blocks of it. Luckily my sisters said the cake is great as I am not a fan of cheesecake I need others to help me to taste it. $20 is not down the drain. Spend a wonderful night at mum place.

It is not something sweet but can be taken sweet. Some made it with very heavy herbal taste. Hubby loves it very much and overtime Janelle enjoys this dessert well too. Of course she likes her sweet to combat the bitterness. I am just occasional taster. We are training Julian to accept it slowly. Cos they love it so much, we walk from our home to Geylang to have it after our western dinner.

Janelle is due for her annual check up again. Coincidentally it is on children 's day.
