Staying with DoubleTree Hilton

We waited long enough for our vacation. We was intended to book another hotel for our staycation but after reading many reviews I decided since we are only going for staycation in June we should go for a better one.

I think we made the right choice, DoubleTree Hilton was the best in JB so far. There are some mixed review but we are very lucky we were treated well during our stays. I guesses my big tummy sometime gave me alot of priviliages

The kids was wowed but the see through bathroom. Sometime that they had for the 1st time. Luckily there is a shower curtain. It wasnt nice to sleep beside the glasses at night too. 
We ordered a double bed deluxe but realised it was a Super single bed and not queen bed that we understood. So we have to squeeze with the kids,  I dint have a good sleep for the 2 nights. 

Something about DoubleTree that all the guests praised. It was their famous oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that was presented to us during our check-in. Janelle said the cookies was the nicest she had ever tasted. My food lover daughter. 
Toiletries nicely presented.
Comfortable bed but the pillow was too soft for me. We realised guests could ask for different types of pillow. I asked for Latex pillow the 2nd night which was much better but to squeeze with Janelle on the same bed and avoiding her from hitting my tummy. I didnt really sleep that well.

It was a small pool but a quick dip, could just make the kids very happy. 
It was a super sunny day but the water was cold as what the kids said.
Love the breakfast spread at DbleTree Hilton. Food is nice and they serve fresh fruit juice, pancake, Thosai, prata, porridge, noodles. 
There was one corner of special dip of sambal. WOW! I hope I know how to make them.

Busy and happy Sunday

 It was a busy Sunday with celebration. 1stly we attending Amelia One year old birthday ceclebration.  BIL invited a magician to perform for the kids. The magician brought along a buddy for the kids to pat after the show. We are supposed to come for birthday dinner much earlier because Janelle insert her Korea trip last min and daddy have to change the timing. Luckily we still able to get seat on 23 Jul.  They have an order your pasta counter where they cook the pasta on the spot. Lobster is not really our favourite and it was quite true because the meat was not sweet and a bit tougher than poached prawn. Skyler like the pasta but not the lobster so we share the lobster instead but we only share the half lobster after that none of us wanna waste our tummy space for it.  The dessert table are full of beautiful dessert.  We finally remember to get someone to take a family shot for us. My 1st 10km - Army Half Marathon

I always dream to go for it but I hate running/jogging. I dun have the stamina to do even a 1km run. How to go for 10km? I must be crazy! Yes, 48 now and I dun start having crazy thought and things I will never get to do it. The begining of the run was because a colleague who hardly exercise said he will join so people like me of same category also signed up to support him. Furthermore, he will be walking and not jogging, which is same as me. WALKING. We started late because we waiting for you and me. Starts around 7am, the race for 10km run started at 6.30am Feeling shiok because you only got to walk like a big "boss" in the middle of the road as if you own it at this moment.
