Dengue follow up

There was a following check up on Tuesday and we decided to switch her from Parkway East to local polyclinic for the blood test. From a relative advise, we went over to Parkway East hospital to request for Janelle's blood test report to bring over to polyclinic for follow up.

Janelle still attended her school as we think she was still ok and have the energy to do so but requested to the teacher to excuse her from CCA on Tuesday as she has a medication appointment that afternoon.

Mother in law brought her Geylang East Polyclinic, she text me with this photos after her blood test. The 2nd experience from the blood test was not as traumatizing as the 1st one. She told me she the pain was minimised and the drawing of the blood was so much faster than she thought.

I asked her if the nurse using a syringe and she said no. Could the same way of blood extraction as adult that was why it was so much faster and less painful.

The result was good, her blood count increase to the normal level but doctor still wanted her to continue with panadol medication for a few more rounds before stopping. Just to prevent the fever from spiking back again. We were later told that she needed to continue her medication even though there was no fever, the reason we saw a spike because she stop medication.

However we will still need to monitor her for another 5 days if there was no fever anymore then she will be out of dengue.
