I have only 1.5 working day left before I can go for my long waited and planned holiday. This week, I have been rushing mad preparing for a briefing to a big crab on Friday. They asked for a briefing to be conducted at 0830am. That was really early, but I think it is good. Quickly done with it and I have one big load off my shoulder. I am so prepared, I think I am very prepared and I think my brain is so exhausted now and my eyes are closing in but is only 1st half of the day. However on the other side, I didnt do much reading on my trip. Thanks Lilian for doing all the researching and so dedicated to the planning else it will never go so smoothly. I wish that the mighty God will grant me strength to deal with my briefing tmr, wisdom to answer the question correctly and properly and safety and fun loving trip to Taiwan.

I like to try new stuffs but I am also careful on the product I am trying. One of the item I like to try out is the facial cleanser because clean face is the basic for good skin. I tried many products before from cheap cleansers to expansive one. Doesn't mean cheap is bad or expansive always good. It is all about if you get to chose the right one. I am not actually an expert in this but I will asked my skin to feel it. Previously, I used Fancl powder wash. I find it too troubleshoot to produce enough foam so I can start washing my face and if you didn't do that, it will be harsh to the skin. Then I switched to SKII cleanser, very little bubble, creamy like cleanser. I dun like to feeling of it, I do not feel clean so I stop after the small sample tube. Before I forgot about my River Safari tickets I better used it up when we are available. We finally have a free weekends with no lesson to do something more family oriented. Janelle and Law have not visit River Safari before so it is a good chance to bring them. I promised Law that it will only be a half day event and the whole place is sheltered.  Law was surprised how short the whole River Safari was and it was really all sheltered and he did not have to worry about sunblock, rain or shine.  The kids are most excited about the ride. At least for Law and Janelle. The kids wanna take up the challenge to take the front side. We realised the Zoo staffs dun really encouraged visitors to take the 1st row, reason that " you may get wet" infact the splash was not really BIG. The kids are very dry after the ride. This korean dessert shop had open for a while but we never ever patronized it before. Then there was an article about it and it happened to be just nexy to my block. No kidding just five mins walk from my blk.  I walked in decided to try something. It was a small shop with a few tables setup. The dessert xost $10 a bowl. I was like WHAT THE HELL !!!! but paiseh that i walked in and then walked out empty handed. So I browse through the menu and it serve smoothie yogurt for 6.50. Ok, something cheaper but not really that cheap. So I ordered a citro which is yuzu yogurt smoothie. It turned up to be like this. Taste not too bad but I wouldnt walk in for a glass of yuzu yogurt smoothie anymore because it is not smooth at all. I still can taste the crushed ice in my drink. Ahhhh.... sometime u pay to learn a lesson. 

My girl smsed me telling me she needed a black Mary Jane shoes and a kneecap long white sock for her coming band performance 3 days before. Okay, not another last minutes requirement that I have to fulfill for my kid. In my days, my parents would have screamed at me for telling them so last minutes. Modern parenting do not allow you to do that to your kids, you will have to 1st explained that early preparation is required (cannot blame Janelle because she only got to know it the same day as I do), 2nd you have to try your very best to do what you can - this is to show the kids that everyone must do their best, exercise all your available resources to complete the task. My resources are surf internet, check where I can get a black Mary Jane shoes, asked around, go shops by shops..... memory flash back if you even saw something similar before. So we went Parkway Parade because the teacher said Bata is selling Mary Jane black shose but we realized she was right and also wrong because...

Law knew I was very stress up with my work. Little did I know that he is just like me, we could sense each other stress level even though I have never really complained much about my work infront of him. He actually planned a movie night to bring me out to watch show that I like.  This time instead of going to Marche, we headed to King Louis for meat.  Pumpkin soup that comes with the dinner set. I didnt suggest this, and I was so sure we cannot finished it but Law insisted. It was a huge plate for 2. There are fish, pork loin, steak, chicken, grilled vegetable and the most appetite on the big plate is the pineapple.  3 slices of steak which is not evenly cut so our medium well was too well done on some part of the steak. Huge portion. Nice place, huge place and good for family or friend gathering.  The show starts at 9:20pm so we have plenty of time to enjoy our dinner at King Louis. Love the show, ...

My dear husband is waiting for me to start using the oven and I am still thinking which bake to do 1st. I had decided to try baking a bread. I asked 小姨 for a good bread recipe to try out. She gave me something, something she tried before and produced good result but this recipe required overnight proofing for the 1st dough. So I did the 1st dough on Saturday night and let it proofed overnight. Sunday was a busy day for me. I need to prepare a quick dinner for Janelle before she went for her a concert. So I had to call Law in to help me to set up the oven. This was the 1st time I saw him so into my kitchen gadget. May be because he was the one getting it and he was so precious of it. Well, this is the most expansive gadget in my kitchen area now. (last year with my Pinky Kitchenaid) Now he is helping me to set the oven timer and thanks that he stepped in because he told me that it instructed to heat up the oven for 20 mins before 1st use. My xiao mei offered to give each of us our birthday treat. I got mine 1st cos Xian was busy with Nelicia. I claimed my dinner at Ambush at Dhobt Ghaut. Food ok and price so so..  My dinner.  A great catch up with sister, so good to have a sister. 

We all love chocolate and Janelle is a big Chocolate fan. Julian is an occasional fan and he indulge in only good quality chocolate.  We chance upon this at Bugis Junction although it is not the 1st time I saw this shop. 1st shop was in Changi village, and wonder if they still have a shop there. How could they survive at such ulu place at all. Bugis will be a more eye catching place to promote their items. I got this for myself and Law after dinner. It was a Lava cake on top of vanilla ice-cream. Seriously, nothing WOW about this. Anyone can achieve this but it is a good take away option.  Chocolate cake - layer of mouse then cake then mouse and finally the chocolate ganache. $29 for a small cake but for only a handful of us it is good enough.We are not expected anyone to finish up the cake at one go.

The mummies felt that we must hold a gathering to foster a closer relationship with each other, especially for us since we are the newly joined travel company this year. Initially, Lilian suggested to go Kallang Wave but then the suggestion evolved and all end up my place. I suggested shabu shabu cos not alot of cooking on my part but I still decided to cook a prawn paste fried chicken and the minced meat sauce for the kids in case shabu shabu is not really what they like. I think my prawn paste chicken and the minced meat sauce were a great hit, not only the kids but the daddies and mummies. Must thanks the two mummies to help me in the frying of the chicken wings.   See the two guarding angels cooking the food for the kids and handling kids demands all the time. Every year is the same - I dun know what I want for my birthday present. Should I get a watch, a diamond ring, a branded bag or ..... It was only in November that I think may be I should change my oven which is with me for more than 8 years. Current market best tabletop oven will be Baby Bell or Rowenta. After some studies, Law suggestion that I should go ahead with Rowenta which have more functions.  On Sat, Law brought me and the kids to a neighbourhood shop at Hougang to get the oven. It was very much cheaper getting at the neighbour stall.  Look at the huge box holding my new oven. Found a new place for my oven. Comparing to my old oven, it is 12L more but Law said it was not much bigger than he though.  The Rowenta has a steaming, defrost function and it came with this roasting or steaming tray.  There is a Rowenta recipe book too.  I did not insist to get the oven but the man I love insisted to ge...

Motivation is linked to meaning and if want and desire are missing, motivation will hit rock bottom. This means it is time to make changes. When meaning is lost, we need to find it and this involves doing certain things differently. Don't let the fear of change of fear of the unknown stop you. I was doing some reading on beauty products, hopefully to get some good and cheap items back from my Taiwan trip. There are so many recommendation items and some can be found in Spore. Since I am going Taiwan, I wanted to get some really good products than to get whatever everyone is getting. The best source is to go and watch 女人我最大 show or the programme youtube.  Naruko is quite a common products here but it was not very widely publicise locally but it has good review in Taiwan and best of all, it was by 牛尔老师。He is famous for his good quality products that catered for the Asia skin. Naruko has a local office in Singapore and I happen to chance upon their website while they are having discount.
